A CELEBRATION OF THE SUN, ILLUMINATING THE BEAUTY IN OUR LIVES
Considered a sacred time of reflection, restoration and renewal, the Summer Solstice takes place on the 21st June, resembling a time for new beginnings.
Dream of powdered golden sunshine over glassy sunset waters. While the sun is still shining, and the warmth of the sunlight kisses the skin, no obstacles seem too large, right?
The days draw out, the weather gets warmer and our smile grows wider.
The sun holds its highest position in the sky and the day offers the longest period of light.
A significant time of the year in so many cultures, marked with rituals and festivities. Solstice is a Latin word, meaning Sun (sol) and stand still (stitium).
This period of time is a time of birth. It is not by chance ancient Greeks recognized this day with events dedicated to the goddess of fertility: Aphrodite.
Light shows the way:
It’s our time to highlight the positive aspects in our life and to pay homage to the sun. We can use this time to bring focus to the moment and observe as the present moment evolves. This is the time to consider what we value in life and what direction we would like to grow in.
Light shows the way.
Summer Solstice reminds us, that just like earth is finding her way to reach closer to the sun one day at a time, we have to find what sparks our inner light and find ways to get closer to this inspiration.
At this day, it is time to shine our light brighter!
William Shakespeare said “Whatever you dream on June 21st, will come to pass. This is the chance to move through the day with rituals that will materialise our dreams.
